Cancellations: NorthKind Pet care will issue a 100% refund if you cancel your reservation for any reason within 24 hours notice or more. Cancellations for any reason made 24 hours or less will receive a 100% credit for non-rendered services and will be issued to your account. Your pet care credits do not expire.

Past Due Invoices: If your stored payment method becomes expired or removed, or payment fails for any reason, your reservation will be cancelled. If services have already been rendered, or we have paid third-party vendors on your behalf, and the invoice for such rendered services or third-party expenses becomes past due, a $25 late fee will be added to the balance that remains.

Visit Time Blocks: NorthKind Pet Care offers several time blocks during which your visit will occur.

Monday through Friday you may choose between a morning (8:00 AM - 11:30 AM), mid-day (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM), or evening (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM).

There is an “Any Time” option for cats and critters (hamsters, gerbils, reptiles, fish, etc.) 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Sunday through Saturday. Please note, the “Any Time” option is for Drop-In Visits and will be available during oregular Service Hours of 8:00am-8:00pm. This method allows to optimize routes. Occasionally, your pet’s visit may occur slightly outside of the scheduled time block. Stormy weather, traffic, or an emergency with another client are a few reasons why this may occur.

Pet Identification Tags: All clients must provide collar and identification tags that include a client's phone number for each pet that will be leaving the client's property and/or fenced yard space.

Leashes, Collars and Harnesses: All dogs are required to be on a leash at all times during walks. Additionally, please have a sturdy, well-fitting harness and collar available with up-to-date owner contact tags. If we do not have a harness to use for your dog, we will remain in your yard with them. Please note: shock and no pinch collars are not allowed. These collar types have the ability to raise reactivity and aggression levels in dogs.

One-On-One Dog Walks: All dog walks are on an individual basis. We believe walking one dog allows the best workout and sensory experience possible while outside. It also allows us to give our full attention to them and to monitor their behavior, health and safety more closely than a pack.

Vaccinations & Zoonotic Disease: NorthKind Pet Care requires that all pets have the necessary vaccinations and veterinary-recommended flea and tick preventatives before service begins. You warrant that your pet is currently vaccinated for rabies as required by state law; or your pet is not currently vaccinated for rabies, but your pet’s veterinarian has provided a medical waiver. You warrant that your pet has no known zoonotic diseases, and should you be made aware of a zoonotic disease, you will notify NorthKind Pet Care promptly and/or cancel your scheduled services.

Medication Administration: NorthKind Pet Care staff will attempt to administer medications as directed but cannot be held responsible for any complications that may arise as a result. Please leave detailed instructions for all medications and the steps we should follow if we’re unsuccessful. We recommend having a back-up plan available in the event that your pet cannot be handled safely by our staff. We find it beneficial for all new clients to demonstrate how medications should be administered at the initial meet and greet.

Yard Conditions: We will properly dispose of your pet’s waste during our visit. Please indicate where you would like the waste to be disposed of. We aren’t responsible for waste in the yard present prior to our arrival. Additionally, we reserve the right to refuse yard play if the area poses a threat to your pet or our staff. For example, unsanitary conditions, stagnant water, excessive animal waste, unkept lawn or hazardous materials.
