Meet & Greet:

All new clients start with a meet & greet consultation to ensure we're the right fit for you and your pet/s!

We'll discuss your pet/s routine, food, and behavior. The meet & greet typically last 15-30 minutes.

What happens at the Meet & Greet?

We take a look at everything we’ll be responsible for during our visit. We'll go through a checklist that includes items such as:

Food & water dish location

Extra food location

Meal prep instructions

Collar, leash, and harness locations

Medical concerns & medication instructions

Favorite toys

Where to put scooped litter/ poop bags

Going over your pets usual routine

Emergency veterinary contact information

Fears

Overview of Time To Pet app

Any other details concerning your visits

“Setting up The Door” For Dogs - We also “set up the door” in a way that simulates how your dog will react when we come to your house while you’re away. It’s really easy - we’ll all go outside for a couple of minutes, then your sitter will go inside to meet the dogs by themselves. As long as your dog reacts well and lets us get near them/pet them/put a leash on, we know we are good-to-go for your visits.

What pets do you care for?

Cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, birds, freshwater fish, saltwater fish, reptiles and amphibians.

How can I schedule visits?

For your first set of visits, you can contact us by phone or through email. Once you are set up in our system, you can request visits through the Time To Pet app.

What is your cancellation policy?

NorthKind Pet care will issue a 100% refund if you cancel your reservation for any reason within 24 hours notice or more. Cancellations for any reason made 24 hours or less will receive a 100% credit for non-rendered services and will be issued to your account. Credits do not expire.

Friends, neighbors, cleaners, etc. will be in my home while I’m away. Should I let you know?

Yes, a heads up is appreciated! We prefer that these services don’t overlap. Before each reservation begins, you agree to disclose if, when, and where other people are expected to be on your property. Failure to disclose this information may result in cancelled services as we are not familiar with who has permission to be on your property or in your home.

When will I get updates?

At the end of each service, you’ll receive a Time To Pet visit report card. These include our check-in and check-out times, pictures, GPS tracking information for walks and any details about the visit.

Do you offer phone or text support?

Yes! We offer as much phone support as you like while your pets are in our care.

What equipment do I need to provide for walks?

We recommend providing a secure collar with ID tag and a standard leash. If your dog uses a harness, head halter, or other approved walking equipment, your walker is happy to use it as long as it’s a safe and proper fit. Please note: shock and no pinch collars are not allowed. These collar types have the ability to raise reactivity and/or aggression levels in some dogs.

Can you walk puppies or senior dogs?

Yes! Puppies and senior dogs often benefit from consistent routine support. We can tailor the pace, distance, and handling to your dog’s age, mobility, and comfort level.

Are dog walks private or group walks?

Our standard approach focuses on one-on-one dog walks so your dog receives dedicated attention and a calmer, more consistent experience.

What time will my dog be walked?

Sunday through Saturday you may choose between a morning (8:00 AM - 11:30 AM), mid-day (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM), or evening (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM).

We also offer an “Any Time” option for cats and critters (hamsters, gerbils, reptiles, fish, etc.). Please note, the “Any Time” option is for Drop-In Visits and will be available during our regular Service Hours of 8:00am-8:00pm. This method allows us to optimize our routes.

If your pet/s needs a more specific timing window, tell us and we’ll do our best to accommodate based on availability!

How long are dog walks?

We offer multiple walk lengths so you can choose the right fit for your dog’s energy level and routine. We currently offer a 15-minute walk and a 30-minute walk.

How far in advance do I need to book walks?

If you know the days you will need walks, let us know in advance. However, we understand that things come up and you may need a walk at the last minute. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request!

What happens during bad weather?

Your dog’s safety comes first. In unsafe conditions (extreme heat, lightning, hazardous air quality, etc.), your walker may adjust the plan—such as shortening the walk, focusing on potty relief, or doing indoor enrichment when appropriate. Your walker will follow your preferences and keep you informed.

What happens if my walker or sitter can’t make a scheduled visit?

If something unexpected comes up, we will give you a heads up and we will issue a 100% refund. We recommend that you have an Emergency Guardian that lives within walking distance of your home in the event your walker or sitter is unable to make your scheduled visit.

Can you walk dogs who have health problems or medical concerns?

Yes, we are happy to help! We are very careful to not push dogs that have health concerns, and we'll go at their pace. We are always on the lookout for changes in a pet’s health and we will let you know right away if we see anything concerning.

Can you administer medications?

Yes, we can administer basic oral medications.

Can you walk reactive or aggressive dogs?

At this time, we are not onboarding aggressive dogs. However, we can refer you to a local walker or sitter that can help!

Can you take my dog on a care ride to a park?

We love going to nearby parks! We would certainly be happy to take your dog to a park if it’s within walking distance from your home and is within the designated timeframe of the selected walking service.

Do you have a leash or harness that you prefer and/or recommend?

We will walk with any leash and harness that is safe. If your dog is a puller, we recommend the Pet Safe Easy Walk harness. https://www.chewy.com/petsafe-easy-walk-dog-harness/dp/227378

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes. The insurance coverage is specific to dog walking and pet sitting. If you have questions about coverage details for your specific situation, contact us and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Are you trained in pet CPR or first aid?

Yes! I obtained my certification on May 1st, 2026. Certificate ID is 02A46EA and it is valid until 5/1/2028.

What happens in case of an emergency with my dog?

If an emergency occurs, your sitter or walker will follow your instructions and emergency contacts on file and take appropriate action based on the situation. Your walker will communicate with you as quickly as possible and keep you updated until the issue is resolved.
